Recycled Art Summer Camp Week Day 4 of 5

  • The Banana Factory 25 West 3rd Street Bethlehem, PA, 18015 United States (map)

Day 4 of 5

This week long summer camp studio intensive for children 10-12 years of age aims to teach participants how to create art or bring an artistic quality to an item by giving new life to broken or discarded items.

Up-cycling has become an increasingly popular way to reduce waste and help the environment. This studio intensive is an excellent opportunity to learn how to turn trash into treasure. Participants will be taught how to see the potential in items that might otherwise be thrown away and how to transform them into beautiful and functional pieces of art. Some of the skills that will be covered in this intensive include:

  • Identifying materials that can be repurposed

  • Techniques for preparing materials for use in art projects

  • Tools and equipment needed for creating recycled art

  • Creative approaches to designing and executing recycled art projects

  • Ways to incorporate recycled art into your home or workplace

By the end of this studio intensive, participants will leave with a new appreciation for the beauty and potential of everyday items that might otherwise be discarded. They will also have the skills and knowledge needed to create their own recycled art projects and make a positive impact on the environment.
